Fashion Merchandising Major
Admission Criteria:
- Incoming Freshmen:
- Minimum High School GPA of 2.75
- Minimum ACT 21 and/or SAT 980
- Students with a High School GPA of 3.0 or higher but do not meet the ACT/SAT score requirement will be considered on an individual basis
- Transfer Students:
- 24 earned, non-remedial credit hours at an accredited college or university
- And minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Transfer Students with less than 24 earned credit hours from an accredited college or university will be admitted under “incoming freshmen” criteria.
- Current Kent Students Changing Major:
- 12 earned, non-remedial credit hours at Kent State University
- And a cumulative GPA of 2.50
Note:
- Students who do not meet the above admission criteria may be admitted to the university as Fashion Preparatory majors (PFDM) and declare the Fashion Merchandising major after:
- completing 12 credit hours of non-developmental coursework at Kent State University
- or after completing one year of non-developmental coursework at another accredited college or university
- and establishing a cumulative GPA of 2.50
