- Posted Apr. 16, 2012 - The Kent State Fashion School Opens New Retail Space in Downtown Kent The Kent State University Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising has opened a new retail space The Fashion School Store. The store is located in the newly revitalized retail area known as Acorn Alley II in downtown Kent.

- Improving functionality fo firefighter clothingVince Quevedo, an associate professor at Kent State’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising, is an award-winning designer whose creations have been exhibited in France, England, Germany, South Korea, Japan and many other countries. But, Quevedo has also made important contributions to functional apparel by creating innovative designs for clothing for firefighters.
