Scholarships (Fashion Design Freshmen)
Eve T. Bissler Medallion Scholarship
Established in 2006
Awarded to an incoming fashion design or fashion merchandising
major. Requisite: 3.25 GPA. Based on SAT/ACT scores, competitive
exam. This scholarship is part of the Founders Scholars
Program. Semifinalists for each scholarship will be selected
to participate in the competition held in February. Students
must be admitted to Kent State by February 1st to be considered.

Margaret
Clark Morgan Scholarship for Fashion Design
Established in 1987
Margaret Clark Morgan (Peg) is a lady of style and with
a love of fashion. She has been one of the most outstanding
patrons of The Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School
of Fashion Design and Merchandising.
The Morgan scholarship
of $1700 (half each semester) per year goes to a second
semester freshman and continues with that student through
the senior year. Students with a high school GPA of 3.0
or higher will be sent an application form upon their admission
to the Fashion Design major. Students who have the Morgan
Scholarship must maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester to keep
the scholarship for the next semester. Once lost the scholarship
may not be re-instated.
The student must show academic promise, a strong interest
in fashion design and demonstrate financial need. Verification
of financial need is required.
Eligible
students will be sent an application form upon admission
to the program.

Award: $1,700 (renewable)
